INTERNATIONAL SPACE OLYMPICS ITINERARY

Itinerary 2009

During the 10 day competition, Scouts and Guides will:

Space Olympics

Present their technical, economic and social projects. Any subject matter connected with the field of Space Exploration may be used;

Take part in competitions in physics, mathematics and computer science;

Meet Russian cosmonauts;

Visit Mission Control Center, speak live directly to cosmonauts on the space station;

Visit Star City and Space Museum, see first hand Gagarin's capsule and the 1st Sputnik, go inside the space station;

Cultural Program

visits to Moscow Kremlin, cathedrals, Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow Circus;

Visit Korolev schools; meet local students to learn about their culture and lifestyle.

How to Apply

Applications should be a one page A4 résumé plus 500 words on your interest in Space, and how you will use the ISO in your Venturer or Queen’s Scout/Queen’s Guide Award.

You must include two referees one must be from your current school.
